2 . Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated automatically as you use the Service, and information we receive from connected third-party accounts.
2 . 1 Account Data
Name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and any profile details you choose to add.
2 . 2 Connected YouTube Account Data
When you connect a channel, Google's OAuth process shares limited information with us based on the permissions you grant, which may include your channel name, video list, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and basic analytics such as views and retention.
We only request the permissions needed to provide the features you use, and you can disconnect your channel at any time from your account settings, which revokes our access going forward.
2 . 3 Video Content and Metadata
When you request an SEO score, auto-clip, or thumbnail, we process the associated video file, title, description, and tags. Processed video is deleted from our pipeline once results are delivered, per the retention schedule described below.
2 . 4 Payment Information
Billing address and payment method details, collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. SeoReels does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.
2 . 5 Usage and Log Data
Log data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, timestamps, and feature usage, collected to improve reliability, diagnose issues, and detect abuse.
2 . 6 Communications
Support requests, feedback, and other messages you send us, which we retain to respond to your request and improve our support process.
3 . How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including calculating SEO scores and generating clips and thumbnails
- Process payments, send invoices, and manage subscriptions
- Communicate with you about your account, security alerts, and support requests
- Personalize keyword suggestions, topic ideas, and recommendations to your channel and niche
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service and develop new features
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activity
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

6 . Data Retention
We retain different categories of information for different lengths of time, based on the purpose for which it was collected:
- Uploaded video used for processing: deleted within 72 hours of your results being delivered
- Generated clips and thumbnails you choose to save: retained until you delete them or close your account
- Account and billing data: retained for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward to comply with tax and accounting obligations
- Support communications: retained for up to 3 years to help us track recurring issues and improve support quality

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. See our Security page for full details.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
8 . International Data Transfers
SeoReels is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses, to ensure your information continues to receive an adequate level of protection.
